Description

The historic Peerless Saloon is located in the heart of downtown Anniston, Alabama's Entertainment District. In 1985, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. In its earlier days, The Peerless Saloon was best known for the whiskey served there, which was produced by the original owner. The saloon's most interesting feature is its massive mirror-backed mahogany bar, which was made for the 1904 ChicagoWorlds Fair. On the second floor of the saloon, The Atlanta Room can be reserved for meetings, private parties and social events. During its earlier days, this portion of the building was used as a brothel and speakeasy. Located adjacent to the saloon is The Peerless Grille which offers its customers a variety of drinks and dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. Sale includes two parcels/addresses, all fixtures, kitchen and bar equipment and the on-going business. Current owners will work with new owner to assure a smooth transition.
